5. Homework during Vacations

Summer vacation (End of July to End of August)

 This is the longest vacation of the year.
 This month long vacation is a great opportunity to experience many different things around you!
 Club activities and study meetings are held during this vacation.

【Homework】

Review homework will be given just before vacation for each subject in the curriculum.
Homework might include activities like drawing pictures or doing research on one's own that will take time and need to be done carefully.

Year-end/Winter vacation (End of December to Beginning of January)

 This vacation includes the New Year period during which students should help with the year-end cleaning and take care of their relatives.

【Homework】

Review homework will be given just before vacation for each subject in the curriculum.
New Year's Calligraphy might be given as homework, too.

Spring vacation (End of March to the Beginning of April)

 This vacation is between the fiscal year's end and the new fiscal year's beginning.
 This is a vacation taken to review subjects studied during the year and to prepare for the upcoming year. The Farewell Ceremony for teachers leaving the school is held at the end of March or early April and everyone (teachers and students) must be present.

【Homework】

Review homework covering the whole year will be given for each subject in the curriculum.

※ 9th graders will receive extra homework to help them prepare for entrance examinations to Senior High Schools and may be required to participate in study meetings.
