Outside of School

When going out

  • Inform someone within your household as to where you are going and when you plan to return.
  • Do not walk alone in the evening. Be back home before dark.
  • As not to bother your friends' families, do not visit during meal times.
  • Do not go to the following places without being accompanied by a guardian or an adult: Supermarkets, department stores, Karaoke (singing clubs), bowling alleys, game corners in supermarkets or other stores, the downtown area, ski resorts, skating rinks, etc.
  • Do not enter Pachinko parlors or game centers, even with a guardian.
  • Children should consult their guardians when going to medical institutions or learning institutions. They should do the same when going to see recommended movies or when participating in social gatherings. Please notify parents or guardians of intentions, destinations, participants, time, transportation, costs, etc.
    *There are quite a few schools that allow 5th and 6th graders to go to recommended movies and attractions with a group of friends unaccompanied by guardians.
  • Do not accept invitations from strangers. Do not ride in a car with a stranger.

When playing

  • Go out to play after going back home first.
  • Do not play games that are dangerous.
    • Do not play near rivers, ponds, and train tracks, in or around construction areas, or on roads.
    • Never enter areas that have "No trespassing" signs posted.
    • Do not play with fire.
      *Have adult supervision if you play with fireworks.
  • Children should not give, receive, lend, or borrow items or money from each other without their respective parents' approval.
